Land of the Pioneers Trail #629
Brief Description:
The Land of the Pioneers Trail passes through portions of ponderosa pine forests and provides scenic views from the top of Ecks Mountain. A short cut trail is also available, bypassing Ecks Mountain. The degree of difficulty is moderate for hikers. A higher level of skill is necessary for mountain bikers and equestrians.
Trail Access:
From Pinetop-Lakeside, take AZ 260 and head north west into FR 224. Then travel west on FR5 and the trail is on the right hand side, approximately 0.6 miles.
